What about dosing of Mounjaro? What’s the logic behind the recommended titration schedule? Do the results get better for A1C at higher doses?

Eli Lilly did research to find “the sweet spot” that would minimize patients’ risks for side effects, to encourage them to stay on and not quit. Read their titration instructions inside the box on the big fold-out piece of paper that comes with your pens. Patients coming over to Mounjaro from another GLP-1RA (like Ozempic) might have had their prescribers recommend a different set of titration instructions. Discuss with your provider any concerns.

The A1C results and weight loss results do get better with higher titrations, but they are still dramatic and positive at 5mg for Type 2 Diabetes patients.
